Welcome to the Sixth Grade Home Page!
Hello, my name is Jesus Rodriguez. I am the English and Language Arts teacher for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade as well as the Physical Education teacher for TK-8th grade. This is my first year with Immaculate Conception Catholic School, but I am very familiar with the school, students, and staff. I have been an active member of the parish community for several years and look forward to my new role as a teacher.
I graduated from California State University Dominguez Hills with a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy. I am currently exploring my options for school to earn my Masters in Education. Apart from being a teacher, I am also a youth sports coach for football, basketball, and soccer. During my spare time I enjoy spending time outdoors, exercising, and most of all being with my family and friends.
I am filled with excitement for this school year and look forward to working closer with both the students and parents. I am thankful to the parents of IC School for allowing me to be a co-educator for their children, as I truly believe parents are the primary educators of all children. I believe it is my job as a Catholic educator to work alongside the parents with the support of staff to help our students become true followers of Christ by ensuring they are academically prepared, socially aware, and spiritually ready. I thank God for allowing me to bring together my passion for working with children and my Catholic faith to teach the children of IC Catholic School.
