Dear IC Families,

It was great to see you at our Back to School Night. We love showcasing our school and as you heard we have tremendous plans for this school year. There is great growth in our academic programs as well as enrichment. We are very proud of our spirit squad and all their positive energy. We look forward to our sports programs and continued integration of technology with our curriculum.

The students completed their Star Testing and we will be sharing their growth with you.  The students were pleased to utilize our new chrome books.

All volunteers need to attend the Virtus class and be fingerprinted in order to attend field trips or help in the classroom. If you cannot attend today, then please check the office for future classes and fingerprinting.

The teachers will be attending an in-service on September 16, so there will not be school in session.  There will be a memorial mass for our beloved Fr. Cassidy on Friday evening at 7:00PM.

This Sunday is our first monthly family mass and we want EVERYONE to attend.  All students that wear their uniform to mass on Sunday will have free dress on Monday. Check in with your teacher for a free dress pass.

After mass we strongly encourage all our families to go to the hall for a DELICIOUS breakfast prepared by our dedicated Knights of Columbus.  All money is donated towards the 8th grade high school scholarships.

Also please stop by our Back to School Boutique for a few gifts and support our vendors this Sunday. There will be a variety of products available and it’s never too early to start shopping for Christmas.

Next Wednesday, September 21, is picture day. All students must wear their mass uniforms for the picture. Please place your picture order online or turn in payment on picture day.

I hope you are all eagerly selling items for our Great American Fundraiser.  To really help our fundraiser be successful we encourage each child to sell 10 items. Each magazine subscription counts as two items. All students that sell at least 5 items will attend a fantastic fun filled assembly.  Turn in your sales coupons as you go so you can start winning Emoji prizes now.  Promote the fundraiser through social media to make more sales. Last day to turn in your Great American Fundraiser sales in September 21.

Another easy way to earn money for our school is to buy Scripsense. It’s very easy. Buy scrip to places you usually shop – Target, Amazon, restaurants and more.  Sign up at Scripsense, make your purchases, and our school automatically earns a percentage.

Do you shop at Ralph’s grocery store? Register your rewards card with our school number and our school earns money too. Your card must be reregistered every September. There are many programs that donate to our school if you shop with them. We will keep you updated. Please join us in raising money for IC.

At Back To School Night we shared the form for recording your volunteer hours. In order to earn credit for your donations you are required to attach the receipts. No receipts –No credit. In order to attend the Appreciation Dinner in your honor, you must complete 60+ service hours.

Second Hand Treasures – It is time to clear out your garages and closets and donate to our sale that will be held during the festival. Please bring all gently used items that you no longer want to the school.

Snack Stand – Snacks are available at recess and lunch daily. Items range from 25¢ to $1. Frozen fruit bars are $1.50.

Earn one service hour by ordering  $40.00 worth of AVON products. Our next order is due September 21.

Wednesdays are Bread Sales Day—All donations large or small will be applied to the Washington DC trip for 7th & 8th  grades.

School spirit lawn signs are available for a donation. Show your school pride by posting one of our beautiful lawn signs at your home.
